It’s 1966 outside of Alexandria, LA. Daphne Griffin lives a sequestered life at Willow Reach, where her best friends are her imagination and Meg, the woman who lives in the little cottage on the Griffins’ property. Maybe her family’s secrets are a little more peculiar than other families’…what Meg can do isn’t exactly normal, and Daphne herself sometimes sees black ichor and patterns from lily pods. But doesn’t everyone have problems?

Then one day, there’s a sudden death in Daphne’s family. The event and the further secrets unearthed will unmake Daphne, leading her to embrace her own monstrousness.

No one is safe, Daphne least of all.
